Worth a mosque

One of my favorite subjects is Arabic.

Not "mainly" because of the Subject itself but because of the lecturer teaching it. His name is Ustaz Wan Shohor bin Leman.

Very friendly, always singing and being humorous in class, studying arabic with him was the best thing. half of the time you don't even study arabic at all, he'll keep on talking about his life, his wife whom is from Bosnia, how to raise a family and such. Also having the "terrorist" attitude.

Here I want to thank him for teaching me Arabic by posting a special fund raising post.

You see, Ustaz Wan Shohor is building a mosque and an Islamic Centre in Bosnia, Insyaallah if he has the time and money (which he would ask us to pay of course) he will bring us there.

This mosque is used to help propagate the teachings of Islam and help elevate the people there.

If you want to help, even if it is only a dollar then please do not hesitate you could send your money to his account

WAN SHOHOR BANI BIN LEMAN
MAYBANK 5140 6605 4194

wanshohor@gmail.com

He needs another RM50,000.00 to finish the mosque and get the human power needed to run it. I'm sure that if we all help, this mosque in Bosnia will be finished and Allah knows how many He will reward us in the hereafter.

In building the Ummah, you require not the biggest things to do, even helping donating a dollar will help a lot. As Sherlock Holmes once said:
It's in the smallest details that gives the biggest change

As long as we have the right Nawaitu, and the money in hand, then nothing is impossible.
Hope you make it Ustaz Wan Shuhor!!!

Alternative Facebook

The recent harms done by facebook (FB) has caused a major disturbance among the muslim community especiall those whom have a FB account.

FYI FB has been an Israeli product

and now recently they have gone a step forward with posting cartoons of the prophet, don't know whether they have deleted it or not.

So what I have been trying is to find an alternative to FB.

For starters you could reactivate your friendster or myspace account but, it seems dull and ancient if you do that.

Other things is just you stick to Blogger, however blogger is more of a web log than a social network.

So I came upon 2 new websites after the recent accession.
  1. Millat facebook. Don't know wheter you have heard of it, it's a counter towards FB and it's growing fast. in just a week 330000 members have registered compared to a week of facebook. it's in way after there was a post at FB of the prophet. http://millatfacebook.com
  2. Ummah book, those whom are more to writing and socializing at the same time, then this is your alternative. it's islamic, you could make a blog in there and it's a social network. Myspace, Facebook and blogger all combined. how cool is that. And you could also upload photos and videos like photobucket. now thats a starter. http://www.ummahbook.com
These type of alternatives are really cool when compared to FB, however the only problem is lack of members and activities, because you see, there aren't many members so it's our job to fill them in. as my Ustaz said
If there is an empty space, then plenty it
I feel there is a need to make these types of Islamic social networks more enhance and used by the islamic community. What better way is unifying the ummah than if all of us use the same social network.

so deactivate your FB account and come to Ummah book. LOL

Welcome.

PS: if you wanna find me in Ummahbook, which I've already became a member like a month ago but wasn't that active (no friends), then search for Khaleed Fakhry. Hope to be friends

Muslim = Following Muhammad

For the love of the prophet, how many of us are willing to sacrifice ourselves for the prophet and hos teachings?

I've watched this movie so often that every time I watch it new energy seeps into me. I've even uploaded it into my hand phone so I could watch it often.

This one minute show could give so much meaning.
And surprisingly, this advertisement was made by Hollywood.

Don't believe me? well that's up to you.

The story was like this if I'm not mistaken, the Saudi government wanted to propagate the love for the prophet, so they seek Hollywood to produce such an advertisement. (well you know how close Saudi is to the West, and please tell me if I was wrong)

* * *

There is a problem in our society right now, in which many Muslims aren't that much Muslims.
we proclaim that "Muhammad is the messenger of Allah" every day, yet how many of us actually do his teachings. Like wearing a jubah and kopiah when going to pray and regular attire, looking down and being modest when walking, wearing "celak" (the black powder we put on our eyes) or even smiling always.

Egoistically these humans, especially Muslims nowadays needed scientific proof that such Sunnah are good. Well personally, I think these people are hypocrites, needing to asking questions and proofs, when the real big proof: if you do the Sunnah then you'll go to heaven, they didn't look upon. That's the problem with Muslims nowadays, they are too "Earthly bound".

Those who perform my practices love me, and those who love me shall be with me in heaven

Well, by the law of Mathematical reasoning, then if A=B=C, then A=C

thus whoever does the Sunnah goes to heaven. it's as simple as that.

When we talk about the"Sunnah" it doesn't mean that when you do it you get good deeds, and if you don't it's ok.

The prophet's Sunnah is actually a line for Muslims to see whether they have succeed or failed doing something. If you do something following the prophet, you succeed, if you don't, you fail, it's that simple.

Note to everyone: Do you love the prophet? Prove it, I dare you.

The Truth About Muslims in America

Barack Obama is a Christian, not a Muslim, but if he were of the latter faith, more than half of all Americans would have no idea what that affiliation meant beyond stereotypes, a new study finds.

Like nearly all social groups, Muslim Americans are a diverse group both politically and socially.

While some have tried to clarify Obama's religious affiliation, others have gone further and condemned the negative use of the label Muslim to elicit prejudice and fear.

Most recently, former Secretary of State Colin Powell rebuked the claims that Obama is a Muslim and said, "What if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer is 'No. That's not America.'"

The new results based partly on national surveys suggest Americans think the Islamic religion is associated with violence and religious extremism, and perhaps even terrorism. Along with these negative views, which have spurred a general fear of Muslims, seven in 10 Americans admit they know very little about the Islamic religion.

"Clearly, many Americans are convinced Muslim Americans pose some kind of threat to American society," Duke University sociologist Jen'nan Ghazal Read writes in the fall issue of Contexts magazine, published by the American Sociological Association. "Two widespread assumptions fuel these fears. First, that there's only one kind of Islam and one kind of Muslim, both characterized by violence and anti-democratic tendencies. Second, that being a Muslim is the most salient identity for Muslim Americans."

Overall, Muslim Americans are, well, American. They have similar levels of career and educational attainment as the general American public; their political beliefs are just as varied as the general public; and their typical level of religious devotion is on par with that of many other religious groups, the research shows.

Fear of the unknown

The results come from interviews with more than 3,600 Muslim Americans in 2001 and 2004 by the Georgetown University Muslims in the American Public Square (MAPS) project and with 1,050 Muslim Americans in 2007 by the Pew Research Center. Information was also harvested from the General Social Survey run by the University of Chicago. And Read has conducted research for the past 10 years on the economic, political and cultural integration of Muslim and Arab Americans.

Some of the findings include:

  • Four in 10 Americans have an unfavorable view of Islam.
  • Five in 10 believe Islam is more likely than other religions to encourage violence.
  • Six in 10 believe Islam is very different from their own religion.

These views stem from misperceptions and just not knowing the facts, said Read, who volunteered that she is not Muslim.

For instance, people often confuse Muslim, which means a person who practices the religion Islam, with an ethnic group such as Arabs, she said.

But that's like assuming all Christians are African American or Irish American. In the United States, Read said, about 25 percent of Muslims are African American, while one-third are Arab, one-third are South Asian and a small group are U.S.-born Anglos and Hispanics who have converted to the Islamic religion. An estimated 2 million to 8 million Muslims currently live in the United States.

People often think of Islam and say, "Oh, that's Osama bin Laden," Read said. "Osama bin Laden is a terrorist who was using Islam to try to recruit people into his terrorist organization but Islam has nothing to do with terrorism."

Who are Muslims?

Read's research has painted a picture of Muslims that resembles the picture most of us have of most Americans.

"Muslim Americans look a lot like other groups of Americans," Read said.

On average, Muslim Americans tend to be highly educated, politically conscious and fluent in English. As a group, they share similar socio-economic characteristics with the general U.S. population in terms of education, income and employment: one-fourth has a bachelor's degree or higher; one-fourth lives in households with incomes of $75,000 or more; the majority are employed.

The same match-up goes for political and religious views. "Being a Muslim isn't necessarily the most important factor when it comes to their political attitudes," Read said.

For instance, the majority of both Muslim Americans and the general public oppose gay marriage and favor increased federal funding for the needy. Muslim Americans are slightly more conservative than the American public with regard to abortion, with 56 percent of Muslim Americans opposing it compared with 46 percent of the general public.

Foreign policy is the one area where Muslim Americans aren't entirely in step with the general public, particularly with regard to the Middle East. In 2007, for example, Americans were overall nearly four times as likely as Muslim Americans to say the war in Iraq was the "right decision," and twice as likely to say the same about the war in Afghanistan.

Like Christians, Jews and members of other faiths, Muslim Americans vary widely on their levels of religious devotion, along with how often they attend a mosque and pray.

"The idea is if you just group everybody together that's a Muslim by affiliation and then pretend like one characteristic defines them, well that's as silly as saying that all blacks can run fast," Read told LiveScience. "Being a Muslim doesn't mean they all hold the same values, attitudes, but we haven't been very good about recognizing that."

Muslims in politics

Even with such similarities, Read said, political campaigns have used the "Obama is Muslim" tactic to steer voters away from the Democratic presidential candidate.

"I think they're definitely trying to play it up a little bit more because it's socially acceptable to say [Obama is] Muslim and let that be used to scare people," Read said, adding that the tactic is meant to paint Obama as a non-mainstream American.

Educating the public about the diversity of Muslims and the Islamic faith could not only stem fears but also help to unite the nation.

"If we're going to face our nation's challenges in a truly democratic way, we need to move past the fear that Muslim Americans are un-American so we can bring them into the national dialogue," Read said.

Meeting Back the past

Those who forgotten history, are doomed to repeat it

- Only Allah knows who said it-

So let's recap what we've been doing during these weekends.

I've gone to Fraser Hill for a little reunion with my Madrasatul Hayyah Islah pals, meeting one another, each one of us just got our University registration results.

Some of us are going to Egypt and Jordan under scholarships. Some went to Darul Qur'an. some...... Like myself are just waiting.

But that's ain't the post I want to talk about. What I really want to talk about is history.

What was a grand program during our Reunion was the ISK (Ini Sejarah KIta) or This is Our History.

I learned that, the world as we know it, is on a wheel. things that once happen, might happen again, just in a different method.

For example, once upon a time, nations were trying to conquer other nations, well if you see it or not, it's happening. But last time it was through military power, now in the 21st century we are on going a conquering of idea's and principles.

In islam it's called "Ghuzwatul Fikr" or Battle of Ideas. It's like the cold war, just this time people don't know it's that cold. People don't know that they are in a tense battle of ideas and principles.

Most of us, if not all Muslims looks like as if are on the losing side. which is a fact that can't be denied. Really, I've been to United States and I never heard a Mat rempit there yet, or if the people there are unethical in any way. yes you could see them wearing bras or doing free sex, but you don't see them throwing there child in a dust bin.

It's like the old saying
"More Westernizing than the Westerns"
So back to the History part, our history, Muslims to be precise is on a simple basis of exponential growth rate to really bad decrease since the last century.

We lost in the world war, our Khalifah is o where to be found and there are 57 Muslim countries instead of one United Islamic State.

I've heard of things like OIC (Ohh I see.......) that are desperately "trying" to regroup the Muslim countries, but how many of our Muslim leaders are really keen to the idea of uniting all of the nations: NONE.

You don't see OIC sending military support to Palestine, nor are they helping Iran build there Nuclear, or when some dude from the western countries critic Islam, you don't see them fighting back. It just seems to me that OIC is lost.

What I learned in history was that Muslims stood on the basis of knowledge and Islamic virtues, which held them as the leading power for 10 centuries, I heard that we didn't cared much what type of race we were or where did we come from as long as we bear witness that Allah is the Almighty God and Muhammad is his Messenger. That's what I remembered.

But heads on: It's just a memory.

This is were the circulation theory comes in. When something acts as a memory, it becomes an idea, from an Idea into a word, from a word into an action, and from an action to becoming a destiny.

Now the question write now is: who's gonna start thinking this forgotten memory?

You don't need to look left or right when you are answering this, you just need to see a mirror, and say to that reflection of your.

"Hey you, yes you the one I'm talking to, You need to do something about this falling world"

say that to yourself everyday, and Insyaallah, your body will do the rest. It's like training for public speaking or debate, just this time your debating and public speaking to yourself for change.

And so this just proves, that in life your not changing anyone, your trying to change YOU. Because when you change YOU, YOU change the world, because YOU are the WORLD.

PS: to all MHi'ans "miss u all" hope to see you seen, hopefully in heaven, ameen.

Truth or Dare?

Ok ok ok

I'm really sorry to all my readers for the lateness in updating this blog, I know how down to earth you would want to read it. So before I go on to the topic up there (truth or Dare) I firstly want to make some things clear.

There is good and bad news.
The bad news is that, due to the complications my blog has experienced, the layout might be changed (i'm guessing around 70% of chance it would)

Good news is that if it does change then I'll just have to fine a better layout.

No worries, bu the end of the day, we'll still have to give out the response we see in this world, we can't just make as if nothing has happened, we need to have conscience in what we are doing.... Duh.

I'll try as much as I could enhance this blog so it is more colorful and less formal, LAME. but still going to our cause: Creating Awareness among everyone.

* * *

Have you ever played truth or dare. When I was at IIU (16 - 21 April) I regularly play it. It's a really fun game to play. Number 1: it actually test how egoistic man is in proving that he can do anything. Number 2: everything is for real.

It actually enrolls some Islamic values in the game.......

What don't believe me? I have to differ. Well for one it actually condemns you, train you really to tell the truth (that is if you choose the truth part). We as Muslims must always tell the truth. DUH.

But, but, but, nowadays you don't see many of those type of people actually telling whole truths.
Theres a saying that half truth are whole lies. Well whether I'm lying or not is up to you. LOL

Remember saying the truth never means that you are an honest person. There are only a few people I could count whom are honest: Muhammad for instance. Honesty only comes when you aren't a hypocrite. Confuse Ehh? Well if you wanna know what in the world is a hypocrite I advise you to go to Surah Al Munafiqun. There's a whole text there saying what is a hypocrite. Hopefully not me or you.

To the second part ehh......
DARE. There's an organization called D.A.R.E. its an abbreviation of Drug Abuse Resistance Education. Cool ehh? but lets not leave the scoop for today.

As Muslims, Allah has dared us with many things. Doing the unthinkable or impossible just to praise and thy glory His name.

This is one thing I wouldn't need to say long. You really ought to DARE yourself to do the things other people wouldn't. Like: wearing a Hijab in the middle of France, or praising thy Lord in the middle of a concert, or just try to meet all of the world leaders and say to them what's going on in this world. It isn't good that's I'm sure. Daring never means that you need to be different, it means you need to do what people think are quite incredible that's all. So lets dare ourselves with something incredible everyday: Wear a jubah to college, go to class with a serban, or just give a morning brief in front of assembly about how Great Allah is. just do something incredible. Sometimes the most easiest things to do are among the most incredible.

Well that ends today's post, Good day, Wassalam

Can Man Save The World

Save this, save that, save so many other things. Thus go the fervent appeals of those worried about the endangered planet. But can we really save the planet by saving this or that? Is the problem really that simple and straightforward? It seems we are not squarely facing the problem; we are paying attention to mere symptoms without looking into the root cause producing those symptoms. There is a deep disease that we have ignored to our peril. We are only playing a hide-and-seek game with ourselves.

Now, what is the disease and where is it? The disease is in man, not in the planet. It is in man's view of himself. For many centuries, especially since the Western Renaissance, man has seen himself as the master of the planet who can treat it any way he chooses. Man has gloried in his cleverness and technological inventiveness, but his success is now bearing bitter fruit. The bitterness is getting worse and worse. His own existence is now seriously at stake. He has no one else to blame. In this, western man has led the way. The rest of the world gradually followed.

Man preferred to forget that he did not come to the world of his own will. He also preferred to forget that the planet and everything in it are not his own. He did not want to admit the possibility that there could be a vast scheme of things in which he has an appointed place and an appointed function, that there are laws that he cannot violate and boundaries he cannot transgress without facing great peril. His superior intelligence and abilities have been given him because he has a responsibility he must fulfill. If he refuses to do that and lives another way, he at once loses his justification for existence. He no longer has a place in the scheme of things.

Man preferred to see himself as the cleverest and the most technologically efficient animal. But he is animal nonetheless. So he prowled, plundered and robbed, killed and maimed anything and everything, including his own kind - the disadvantaged, the weaker and the less clever among his fellow men. He is still perfecting his technique in this demonic work.

This all-devouring, never satisfied animal that man has become is now trapped in a never-ending cycle of wasteful production and wasteful consumption. His economy stagnates and comes to a grinding halt unless he can spend on things that he could easily do without and are of no real value. His eating only whets his appetite for more. He has denied himself even the contentment of an animal of prey, that eats his fill and then relaxes in satisfaction. Pitiable creature that man has become!

Of all man's faculties the one he has abused most is his ability to use language. He invents alluring slogans to hide the truth, to flatter his own ego, and to mislead, deceive and exploit his own kind. But all the while he has remained self-deceived.

It looks doubtful whether the planet can be saved. The deep and repeated wounds man has inflicted on the planet are fatal. It is too late. In his pursuit of the world he has at last succeeded in getting himself banished from that very world he loves. Worse than that, he has banished himself from his true and noble self; he banished his soul in order to gain the world. His confident efforts only mock him now. He must accept the grim truth and get ready for his exit.

However, all may not yet be lost for man. He might still retrieve his soul by making one final choice. Will he continue to see himself as a mere clever animal, or will he try instead to see himself as a unique being in a supernaturally ordained scheme of things in which he has a unique role and responsibility? He can redeem himself through wholehearted recognition of his guilt and sincere repentance for his willful blindness and arrogance. He must submit to his Creator and Master and unconditionally accept his appointed role. The Master of the planet will take care of it in any manner He pleases. Man need not worry.

Our LifeLine

Tonight I was suppose to go to KL. There was a Life Line 4 Gaza Concert, but I never went.

It wasn't that i didn't want to go, it's just that I couldn't.

Sick, Fatigue, and Dehydrated. I was not in the best conditions. But my condition isn't what I wanna talk about in this article, it's about the silver lining for the Life Line Gaza concert.

I heard great stories from my juniors about this Gaza Concert, I was the agent involved in getting SRI Ayesha's VIP seats. They loved it they say, they were having fun, motivated and most of all they got to help people.

But that's what they thought................... that they could help other people.....

That we could actually help the people out there in Palestine or in Gaza, Sudan or Afghanistan.

But actually we can't

It is not required of thee (O Messenger) to set them on the right path but Allah guides to the right path whom He pleaseth. Whatever of good ye give benefits your own souls and ye shall only do so seeking the "Face" of Allah. Whatever good ye give, shall be rendered back to you and ye shall not be dealt with unjustly. (272) Al- Baqarah

That's the reality...............

And so I realize when we do something, anything, we are suppose to help ourselves.
As much as we really wanna help these people, we firstly need to help ourselves.

They aren't the ones needing help, Allah already promised them heaven.
And so, when I look back, who's the one we are really suppose to help.

Yes, doing all these charity, philanthropy, it's all good.
But the Question is................ does it makes us any better
I ask you...... the person reading this, Do you feel better about yourself, make you a better person when you go to a mosque and put in... like 50$, 100$ ?

If not then then your really wasting your time. Because Islam as we know it, is a tarbiyah, is a tazkirah. It is suppose to renew ourselves.

I remember the time when I went out doing dakwah for 3 days. They say that never expect that when you tell somebody to do good, that that person will do good, but expect for yourself to listen what you say.

Your dakwah is like a ball. when you bounce it at wall it hits you back.

I'm telling everyone here reading this, what's the point if everyday we go to Gaza concerts a raise funding when by the end of the day, we couldn't wake up for Subh prayers, or do simple Al quran recitations or do good towards your parents. Truly we are lost.

Remember the time when Salahuddin Al- Ayyubi wanted to conquer Jerusalem. There were people whom were high spirit, very high in spirit, they make the majority of his troops. But he asked them to return home.

WHY? because they didn't had a strong belief, they didn't wake up and did Qiamulail, they couldn't help themselves as much as they wanted to help others.

Thus, there must be a balance. Everyday we fear what will happen to our Ummah, fear for ourselves too that we may go to the Burning hell. Nauzubillah.

I tell this the reality, and so I feared that when I go to the Life Line Gaza Concert...... I may forgotten myself.
Because the only reason we are helping people.............
Is to help Ourselves

Allah knows - and that's the whole point

Truly the world will be a better place if every knew that Allah knows...

And because of that, we don't really understand our world as the prophet does, that whatever we do, Allah knows......

Whether the goodness we do is little or big, Allah will take it to account in our paycheck for the hereafter. The society as we see it is falling because they forget that Allah knows everything, whether what we do is good or bad.

He knows when we did thievery or lie to somebody, and he will also know if we smiled to a person or gave a way charity even when the world doesn't know it.

By reaffirming us that Allah knows everything, there wouldn't be such bad things happening in our world, no wars, no revenge, no hardship.

It might be just enough to motivate ourselves that Allah knows what good charity we did, because truly...... He is the best
motivator.

And there's nobody to count your tears
Just remember, no matter where you are
Allah knows
Allah knows

When you carrying a monster load
And you wonder how far you can go
With every step on that road that you take
Allah knows
Allah knows

CHORUS
No matter what, inside or out
There's one thing of which there's no doubt
Allah knows
Allah knows
And whatever lies in the heavens and the earth
Every star in this whole universe
Allah knows

When you find that special someone
Feel your whole life has barely begun
You can walk on the moon, shout it to everyone

When you gaze with love in your eyes
Catch a glimpse of paradise
And you see your child take the first breath of life
Allah knows

See your whole world fall apart

You see we all have a path to choose
Through the valleys and hills we go
With the ups and the downs, never fret never frown
Allah knows

Muslims are Their own Worst Enemy

Taken From IslamiCity.com

Muslims are numerous but powerless. Divisions among Muslims, especially between Sunni and Shi'ites, have consigned the Muslim Middle East to almost a century of Western control. Muslims cannot even play together. The Islamic Solidarity Games, a regional version of the Olympics, which were to be held in April in Iran, have been cancelled, because the Iranians and the Arabs cannot agree on whether to call the body of water that separates Iran from the Arabian Peninsula the Persian Gulf or the Arabian Gulf.

Muslim disunity has made it possible for Israel to dispossess the Palestinians, for the U.S. to invade Iraq, and for the U.S. to rule much of the region through puppets. For example, in exchange for faithful service, Egypt receives $1.5 billion a year from Washington, which enables President Mubarak to buy off opposition. The opposition had rather have the money than support the Palestinians. Therefore, Egypt cooperates with Israel and the U.S. in the blockade of Gaza.

Another factor is the willingness of some Muslims to betray their own kind for U.S. dollars. Don't take my word for it. Listen to neoconservative Kenneth Timmerman, head of the Foundation for Democracy, which describes itself as "a private, non-profit organization established in 1995 with grants from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) to promote democracy and internationally-recognized standards of human rights in Iran."

By now we all know what that means. It means that the U.S. finances a "velvet" or some "color revolution" in order to install a U.S. puppet. Just prior to the sudden appearance of a "green revolution" in Tehran primed to protest an election, Timmerman wrote that "the National Endowment for Democracy has spent millions of dollars during the past decade promoting 'color' revolutions in places such as Ukraine and Serbia, training political workers in modern communications and organizational techniques. Some of that money appears to have made it into the hands of pro-Mousavi groups, who have ties to non-governmental organizations outside Iran that the National Endowment for Democracy funds." So, according to the neocon Timmerman, funded by the National Endowment for Democracy, it was U.S. money that funded Mousavi's claims that Armadinejad stole the last Iranian election.

During President George W. Bush's regime it became public knowledge that American money is used to purchase Iranians to work against their own country. The Washington Post, a newspaper sympathetic to the neocon's goal of American hegemony and war with Iran, reported in 2007 that Bush authorized spending more than $400 million for activities that included "supporting rebel groups opposed to the country's ruling clerics."

This makes the U.S. government a "state sponsor of terrorism." For confirmation, one of the U.S. paid operatives, who conducted terror operations in Iran, has ratted on his terrorist supporters in Washington. Abdulmalek Rigi, leader of the Baloch separatist group responsible for several attacks, was recently arrested by the Iranians. Rigi admitted that the Americans in Washington assured him of unlimited military aid and funding for waging an insurgency against the Islamic Republic of Iran. (Read his confession here.)

Possibly he was tortured into confession. It is the American way. If the "light of the world," the "indispensable people," and the "shining city on the hill" tortures people, perhaps the Iranians do as well. Rigi's younger brother, himself on death row in Iran, has said that the U.S. provided direct funding to the separatist group and even ordered specific terrorist attacks inside Iran

The U.S. and its NATO puppets have been killing Afghan women, children, and village elders since October 7, 2001, when the U.S. military invasion "Operation Enduring Freedom," a proper Orwellian title for a self-serving war of aggression, was launched. The U.S. installed puppet president of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, is bought and paid for with U.S. dollars.

The money that Washington gives Karzai finances the corruption that supports him. Karzai's corruption and his treason against the Afghan people encourage the Taliban to keep fighting in order to achieve a government that serves Afghans instead of Washington, D.C.

Without the puppet Karzai selling out Afghans to Washington, the U.S. would have already been driven out of the country. With Karzai paying Afghans with American money to fight Afghans for the Americans, the war drones on into its ninth year.

Feminists, liberals, and naive American flag-wavers will say that what is written here is utter rot, that Americans are in Afghanistan to bring women's rights and birth control to Afghan women and to bring freedom, democracy and progress to Afghanistan, even if it means leveling every village, town, and house in the country. We, "the indispensable people," are only there to do good, because we care so much for the Afghan people who live in a country that most Americans can't find on a map.

While this collection of naifs rants on about America "saving" Afghans from whatever, the White House and the Congress are conspiring against the American people to cut $500 billion dollars out of Medicare in order to give the money to private insurance companies. Jobless benefits are about to run out for millions of Americans, whose jobs have been moved offshore in order to make the rich richer. The U.S. Senate failed on Friday, Feb. 26, to extend jobless benefits. A single Republican Senator, Jim Bunning of Kentucky, was able to block the bill because it would cost a measly $10 billion and "would add to the budget deficit."

The "fiscally responsible" Bunning supports blank checks for wars of aggression (war crimes under the Nuremberg standard) and payoffs to investment banks for wrecking the retirement plans of most Americans. Bunning sends the bills to the unorganized and unrepresented Americans, whose jobs have been stolen by corporate offshoring of jobs and whose retirements have been stolen by the endless greed of the Wall Street investment banks.

What fool believes that the U.S. government, which is totally indifferent to the fate of its own citizens, cares so much about Afghanistan that it will spend blood and treasure to bring "progress" and "women's rights" to a country half a world away, while it drives its own citizens into the ground?

At Washington's behest, the government of Pakistan is conducting war against its own people, killing many and forcing others to flee their homes and lands. The Pakistani government's war against its own citizens has caused military expenses to soar, putting Pakistan's budget deep in the red. Deputy US Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin ordered the Pakistani government to raise taxes to pay for the war against its own people.

The puppet ruler, Asif Ali Zardari, complied with his American master's orders. Zardari declared a broad-based value added tax on virtually all goods and most services in Pakistan. Thus, Pakistanis are forced to finance a war against themselves.

The "cakewalk war" in Iraq has lasted 7 years instead of the promised 6 weeks, and the violence is still ongoing with Iraqis killed and maimed nearly every day. The reason Americans are still in Iraq is because the Iraqis hate each other more than they hate the American invader. The vast majority of the violence in "the Iraq war" was committed between Iraqi Sunnis and Iraqi Shi'ites as they cleansed one another from neighborhoods.

The majority Shi'ites regarded the American invasion of Iraq as an opportunity to gain power over the minority Sunnis, who ruled under Saddam Hussein. Therefore, the Shi'ites never engaged the American invading forces. The minority Sunnis (20 percent of the population) gave most of their effort to fighting the Shi'ite majority, but in their spare time a few thousand Sunnis were able to inflict serious losses on the American superpower.

Finally realizing the power of lucre in the Arab world, the Americans put 80,000 Sunnis on the U.S. military payroll and paid them to stop killing Americans.

This is how the U.S. won the war in Iraq. Iraqis sold out their independence for American dollars.

Considering that a few thousand Sunnis were able to prevent superpower America from successfully occupying Baghdad or much of Iraq, had the Shi'ites joined with the Sunnis against the invaders, the U.S. would have been defeated and driven out. This outcome was not possible, because the Shi'ites wanted to settle the score with the Sunnis, who had ruled them under Saddam Hussein.

This is the reason that Iraq today is in ruins, with one million dead, four million displaced or homeless, and the professional class having fled the country. Iraq, under the American puppet Maliki, is an American protectorate.

As long as Muslims hate and fear one another more than they hate their conquerers, they will remain a vanquished people.

Masjidil Aqsa Attacked!!!!

Clashes at Jerusalem's Aqsa mosque

Israeli troops entered the Aqsa mosque compound last week in a similar incident [File: AFP]

Israeli police have entered Jerusalem's al-Aqsa Mosque compound to disperse Palestinian protesters who they said threw stones at police officers and Jewish worshipers nearby.

Security forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades to disperse the demonstrators following Friday prayers.

The Reuters news agency reported that 30 people were injured in the clash.

Shmulik Ben Rubi, a Jerusalem police spokesman, said officers "intervened in the compound after stones were thrown at Jewish worshippers at the Wailing Wall" below.

Najeh Btirat, an official with the Muslim clerical authority that administers the compound, said the clash followed a mosque sermon on the issue.

"The Friday sermon focused on the Islamic sites that are being targeted by Israel and the need to preserve them," he said. About 300 young men threw stones at police after prayers, he said.

'Minimum force'

Sherine Tadros, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Jerusalem, reported: "Medical sources are telling us that a lot of the Palestinians who were injured were fired on by rubber bullets from the Israeli police.

"But that is something the Israeli police tell us did not happen - they have not been using any ammunition live or otherwise."

Mickey Rosenfeld, the Israeli police spokesman, told Al Jazeera that police used only the "minimum ammount of force" against the protesters.

"Only stun grenades were used, in fact, to disperse those rioters. Nine of our officers were injured at the scene and treated in hospital," he said.

"Our main aim is to continue a calmness - a respectable calmness - on the Friday prayers on the Temple Mount, as well as in East Jerusalem."

Skirmishes

The compound, which is known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary, has been the site of a number of such incidents.

Clashes there on Sunday have been linked in part to a decision by Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, to include two sites in the occupied West Bank on a list of Israeli heritage sites.

Skirmishes also broke out after Friday prayers in the West Bank city of Hebron, but no serious injuries were reported.

A group of about 100 Palestinians protested outside the holy site known to Jews as the Cave of the Patriarchs and to Muslims as the Ibrahimi mosque.

Mawlidur Rasul

The earliest accounts for the observance of Mawlid can be found in eighth-century Mecca, when the house in which Muhammad was born was transformed into a place of prayer by Al-Khayzuran (mother of Harun al-Rashid, the fifth and most famous Abbasid caliph).[5] The early celebrations included elements of Sufic influence, with animal sacrifices and torchlight processions along with public sermons and a feast.[6][7] The celebrations occurred during the day, in contrast to modern day observances, with the ruler playing a key role in the ceremonies.[8] Emphasis was given to the Ahl al-Bayt with presentation of sermons and recitations of the Qur'an. The event also featured the award of gifts to officials in order to bolster support for the ruling caliph.[8]

The first public celebrations by Sunnis took place in twelfth-century Syria, under the rule of Nur ad-Din Zangi Though there is no firm evidence to indicate the reason for the adoption of the Shi'ite festival by the Sunnis, some theorise the celebrations took hold to counter Christian influence in places such as Spain and Morocco.[9] Theologians denounced the celebration of Mawlid as unorthodox,[10] and the practice was briefly halted by the Ayoubides when they came to power, becoming an event confined to family circles.[11] It regained status as an official event again in 1207 when it was re-introduced by Muzaffar ad-din, the brother-in-law of Saladin, in Arbil, a town near Mosul, Iraq.[6][7]

The practice spread throughout the Muslim world, assimilating local customs, to places such as Cairo, where folklore and Sufic practices greatly influenced the celebrations. By 1588 it had spread to the court of Murad III, Sultan of the Ottoman empire.[5][12] In 1910, it was given official status as a national festival throughout the Ottoman empire. Today it is an official holiday in many parts of the world.[5]

Legality of Mawlid

Islamic scholars are divided on whether observing Mawlid is necessary or even permissible in Islam. Some see it as a praiseworthy event and positive development,[13][14] while others say it is an improper innovation and forbid its celebration.

A number of Islamic scholars, such as Muhammad Alawi al-Maliki, Gibril Haddad, and Zaid Shakir, all subscribing to the Sufi movement, and Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the primary scholar of the Muslim Brotherhood movement, have given their approval for the observance of Mawlid.[15] They cite hadith where Muhammad recommended fasting on Mondays, as that was the day he was born and also the day prophecy descended on him.[14] They suggest that fasting on Mondays is also a way of commemorating Muhammad's birthday. However, there is division among them on the lawfulness of the methods of the celebrations. Most accept that it is praiseworthy as long as it is not against sharia (i.e. inappropriate mingling of the sexes, consuming forbidden food or drink such as alcohol, playing music etc).[14]

Notable scholars who consider Mawlid to be bid'ah and forbid its celebration include Muhammad Taqi Usmani, a Hanafi scholar from Pakistan who has served as a judge on the Shariah Appellate Bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and subscribes to the Deobandi movement, and Abd-al-Aziz ibn Abd-Allah ibn Baaz, who was the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia subscribing to the Salafi movement.[16] Although all agree that the birth of Muhammad was the most significant event in Islamic history, they point out that the companions of Muhammad and the next generation of Muslims did not observe this event.[17] Furthermore, they highlight that Muhammad did not observe the birth or death anniversaries of his family and loved ones, including that of his first wife Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, nor did he advise his followers to observe his birthday.[17]

The Problem

so whats the problem with celebrating mawlidur rasul?

well it's all a mind set issue actually. The mindset of the ummah that the mawlidur rasul is actually just celebrated today. what do I mean by mindset? well lets see what happened in Malaysia. just to make things clear, I hope anyone who reads this could have an open mind about what I say and if there are some of us who differ then please do not hesitate to discuss things peacefully. I just felt the conscience to tell this to everyone (especially Malaysian Politician Leaders).

on the night of the Mawlidur Rasul I've just heard the PM said that we need to follow the ways of the prophet and how he lived build a country and so on.

Well just to point out: YOUR CONTRADICTING YOURSELF!!!

  1. You still allow alcohol in Malaysia (Madinah had lots of Jews and Christ, but I don't see that stopping the prophet from banning alcohol)
  2. The mosques are still not full, not to mention that the prophet once said that the most important ibadah to do is to make sure you do your prayers at the allocated time. i haven't seen yet any Politicians coming to my neighborhood and ask people to go and do pray early (that is if they ever pray themselves).
  3. There are still Social Problems, sexual harassment, Mat Rempit and stuff and I don't see any policy that might actually help curb this. Why some politicians even refute the idea that if a girl/women wore attires that clearly close the aurah they will not be raped. They say that it's the problem of the person doing it. well unlikely for you the chance of somebody wearing a bra or even nude will be raped even more than somebody wearing a jubah (that is if somebody even had the lust to do it to someone wearing a jubah). I'm a little confused when one of the politicians said that it was important to follow the prophet's way, well the prophet pointed out that his wife wore a scarf, covered her whole hair, without showing her neck. Well sorry to point it out, many politicians wives don't wear a head scarf, and if they did, you could still see there hair and neck. Shame of you!!!
I for one feel that it's a bad idea to "just" celebrate Mawlidur Rasul today. There is this mindset that every ummah right now has. And it's a bad one. We all remember the prophet only today. we say we love him only today. and we only pray for him only for today. And maybe, only today we would do what he asked us to do.

It's ALL A MINDSET

That's how it all started. From the Abbasiyyah empire, during the Fathimiah regime, creating this wondrous day. And from that day on we suddenly became infected the same way the Christians celebrated their Christmas. Some Bloody mindset that only today is the best day and only today we should remember the prophet.

Those who read this take out this lunatic mindset!!
Think about it.....................
What if everyday was a Mawlidur Rasul?
What if everyday we did cheers for the prophet?
What if everyday the Prime Minister reminded us to follow the ways of the prophet?

Whether you realize it our not, everyday is your birthday, you grow up everyday, same like the prophet's. So why can't we make every day a Mawlidur Rasul and embrace the ways of the prophet?
why can't we follow his way of life?
Why can't we follow him to heaven?

If we cleared our mindset and think that everyday is a Mawlidur Rasul, then surely I believe the world will be a better place......

Syahadatain

Only when you trust Him will He trust you with the world...........

The Significance of the Kalimah Syahadatain:
  • It is the stepping stone to Heaven (Al Hujarat 49:15)

The (true) believers are those only who believe in Allah and His messenger and afterward doubt not, but strive with their wealth and their lives for the cause of Allah. Such are the sincere.

  • The introductory to the Islamic teachings (Adz- Dzariyat 51:56)
وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِ

I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.

  • The instances for change (Al Ahzab 33:23)

Of the believers are men who are true to that which they covenanted with Allah. Some of them have paid their vow by death (in battle), and some of them still are waiting; and they have not altered in the least;

  • The Significance to the prophet's da'wah (Al Kahfi 18:110)

Say: "I am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your God is one God: whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner.

Yes for most of you, this is what we learn in our Mukhayyam Hayyah Islah, but do we truly understand it? like in really taking the meaning and all. Unfortunately the majority of the islamic people don't quite get it when you show an hour presentation to them discussing about this topic even when we often say it during our prayers.

For someone like me I don't like taking things just from one perspective, because we live in a multi-perspective world where nothing is totally true nor false, just misunderstood or confused.

I've been in two Jamaah's lately (although the ikhwan's call us "jammaah tabligh" we don't call ourselves that, because it's more of a job than an organization) and both take these things in one way or the other.

So maybe if we wanted to learn the Syahadatain from the "ikhwanul Muslimin" side, then from what I just shown you above is enough as a rough synopsis of what you could get. (tell me if I'm wrong)
But on the side if you the "Jammaah Tabligh", it's more than that. We actually take this word to a point where it is the "Holy Word" or "Kalimah Thayyibah". If you've been to the SRI Petaling Mosque and went out to do da'wah for a day or two (or even a year if you we're lucky) than you could see yourself speaking to other people, going house to house, mosque to mosque, about this word and what it could mean.

It means that when we say the Syahadatain, then we need to let go of our slavery to the creations, this means that we can't expect wealth or resources from them, because they are only the treasurer, the distributor, to us Allah is the provider, he is the Almighty, the one who lit up our sky, the One who lets us see, speak and hear, the One who makes us cold and well rested, not the fans or air-conditioners, or the cozy coaches and beds that make us well rested, but Allah and only Allah, these "creations" are only the "middle-men", they are only made so we could think. Allah could as easily as change these things so that they wouldn't give us these benefits in the first place.

So to the second word: Muhammad is the messenger of Allah
To us it would mean that the surest way, the only way to success is what the prophet teaches us, or how the prophet does. The prophet's Sunnah are not "sunnat", they are a method to success, if you do it then you are successful and vice versa. That includes how you sleep, eat, study, socialize, keep a country and everything else.

Maybe there are some of you who disagree with my point, you would say Islam allows any type of attire as long as it closes the aurah during prayer, or It's ok if we sleep in another way. Well then my answer to those people is simple: why in the world are we targeting for a number that is below One. Are we so sure that our method is so perfect that we would just follow our own heads, we have a Jubah, a kopiah, some perfume but are so hot headed to do it as if what we are doing is already enough to bring us to heaven. Well unfortunately just by saying these words are not enough to make sure we go to heaven, because sometimes we forgot and commit "Syirik" or betrayal to God, we hope from something else than Him, something that would surely wouldn't give you anything even if you did a thousand times begging.

If ever we suddenly say, "that person's car is so fast, i think if i want ti go to work early i should go with him", or something like that, then we are betraying Allah in someway or the other. We think that it's because of creation that something is possible.

So please as they would say in Markaz Sri Petaling, remind everyone of the Oneness of God and you will remind yourself like a ball being kick at the wall it would bounce back to you.

PS: any comments or feedback or "tak puas hati" I'm sure we could discuss "the prophet's way"
