The Haram Police

Reminding You Just In case you forgot

If you have watched the video, then congratulations, give yourself a big round of applause!

It's very hard telling somebody that he has done something wrong, so I try to find alternatives to it, but most importantly is to tell ourselves i.e remind ourselves, what wrong have we done first before we remind others.

The Qur'an clearly stated in suratul As-Saff verse 2-4:

"O you who believe! why say you that which you do not do?

Grievously odious is it in the sight of Allah that you say that which you do not

Truly Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure."
Writing this article came to me when some of my friends in debate suddenly started saying "haram", with Amnah begging me to do something to Saddiqso he would stop saying those "haram this" "haram that".

Saddiq once said about how in the world are Muftis are able to create some nonsense "fatwa" like banning Manchester United T-shirts, or some other gibberish stuff (no offense Saddiq), so after cross referencing some of my Ustazs and looking on the Internet, this is what I got, on how to actually create "fatwas" and religious laws:
  1. Clear and Full understanding of certain verses in the Qur'an and hadiths (must be sahih) about those things
  2. Understand the Maqasid Syaraie', Maqasid Syaraie' refers to the main objective of a certain act or certain things. like if people ask: why are you wearing a jubah? the only answer isn't just because it's the prophet's sunnah (if it's like that then we would be on camels), but because it's a non-fit attire that allows a lot (I mean, a LOT) of air circulation, which makes your muscles more healthier, so if you could find some other attire with that objective then your following the sunnah. For camels, the objective of riding a camel was because it was the most adept and safest transport on the road, so if going on a vehicle, find the most safest (the one that wouldn't crash much) so in a way you're following the sunnah!
  3. Understanding Qias: Qias is something you want to put in parallel with your law, like if you want to ban drugs, the closest parallel you want to give is alcohol, because drugs makes you loose your mind. (ask me, I tried it and I went HYPER!)
  4. Understanding Ijma' Ulama: that is the sayings of a majority of the Ulama'
So back to the story of Amnah and Saddiq (I know how boring these criteria are, but it took me a lot of effort to find it, so don't complain)

Even during the debate they were still fighting over that issue (even after the debate), hopefully they get through over it (hopefully Saddiq's thick head could apprehend that there isn't any reason why you should argue what's haram or not, because Amnah's complaining just bugs me, LOL sorry Amanh, Saddiq)

But I would like to put this as a remainder for myself first before I remind anyone (especially you TWO).

there isn't any use, annoying people just because the other thinks wrongly of the other. It's like an Islam-Terrorist thing all over, you say something to annoy (or to offend) just because you perceive them that way. Maybe it's a better idea (it's the best idea FYI) if we think (and study) first before we say anything about others. it makes us look more wise, than seeming as somebody ignorant.

Likewise: I tell myself, before I tell others =)

PS: Amnah and Farhana, be wise when teaching Saddiq and Harris about Islam, never give up!
To Saddiq, Harris, Shafiq and Kamal, we'll never stop helping you guys. May Allah bless you All.

"welcome to to the path towards Heaven"
